DVA Counselling & Psychological Support for Veterans

Transitioning from military service, managing past experiences, or coping with the ongoing impact of service can place significant pressure on mental health and wellbeing.

At Carlie Jordan Clinical Psychology, we provide compassionate, evidence-based psychological support for veterans and current serving members across Miranda and the Sutherland Shire, including clients accessing treatment through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

Psychological Support for Veterans

Military service can involve experiences and stressors that continue to affect someone long after service ends.

Some veterans seek support for specific mental health concerns, while others reach out during periods of transition, stress, relationship difficulties, or adjustment to civilian life.

Seeking support is not a sign of weakness, it is an important step towards improving your quality of life.

Common Concerns Veterans May Experience

  • Depression and low mood

  • PTSD and trauma-related symptoms

  • Anger and irritability

  • Sleep difficulties and hypervigilance
