Hello!
Hi, I’m Carlie.
I’m a clinical psychologist based in Miranda with 18 years experience, working with adults and adolescents (15yrs+) across the Sutherland Shire and via telehealth across Australia.
I know that reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy. Many of the people I work with have been trying to manage things on their own for a long time, feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, stress, overthinking, or low mood. My role is to provide a space where you can slow things down, feel understood, and start to make sense of what’s been going on.
My approach
I aim to create a space that feels calm, supportive, and non-judgemental.
Therapy with me is collaborative, we work together to understand your experiences and find practical ways forward. I focus on helping you build insight, develop coping strategies, and make changes that feel realistic in your everyday life.
I draw on evidence based approaches including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Schema therapy
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
Rather than taking a one size fits all approach, I tailor therapy to suit your needs, goals, and pace.
I believe human connection is a basic need. We know from research that the strength of the therapeautic relationship, between therapist and client is related to positive outcomes. I strive to develop a good relationship with my clients, to understand them well and individually tailor treatment to them.
I have a down-to-earth and relatable approach. I love working with people of all ages. Can’t wait to meet you!

What it’s like to work together
People often come to therapy feeling unsure of where to start.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first session. We can begin wherever you are.
